La Sociedad Española de Epidemiología (SEE) y la Sociedad Española de Salud Pública y Administración Sanitaria (SESPAS) han manifestado su satisfacción por la futura Ley de Salud Pública. Los Presidentes de SESPAS, Fernando García Benavides y SEE, Andreu Segura coinciden en valorar muy positivamente el anteproyecto de la Ley que coordinará los distintos sistemas autonómicos y reforzará la promoción de la salud, tal y como establece el artículo 43 de las Constitución. La ley obligará a todos los ministerios a tener una visión más colectiva de la salud y vigilará la salud de los ciudadanos en ámbitos tan variados como la contaminación, el cambio climático, la alimentación, o la salud laboral. La norma fomenta la carrera profesional de la salud pública e impulsa la investigación.
